Teacher of the Visually Impaired, Vision Therapist, or O&M Specialist - Part-Time - In-Home
Job Description
Therapy Source is currently seeking PA Licensed or DOE Certified Vision professionals to work in-home with K-12 virtual charter school students in Philadelphia and surrounding areas. Scheduling is flexible and can be based on your availability. Travel is reimbursed. This position is for the current school year.
Teacher of the Visually Impaired Salary: $65-$85 per hour
Teacher of the Visually Impaired Qualifications:
- License in Pennsylvania
- Possession of (or willingness to obtain) up-to-date clearances
- Proof of individual professional liability insurance (or willingness to obtain)
Teacher of the Visually Impaired Responsibilities May Include:
- Evaluating and determining appropriate itinerant services based on student needs
- Providing ongoing support to teachers regarding the needs of the student
- Recommending and assisting with adaptations for classroom instruction
- Providing direct services with the use of the appropriate mode of communication
- Using assistive technology with student
