Job Description
As part of our mission to pave the way for student success nationwide, Therapy Source is currently seeking a Teacher of the Visually Impaired to provide virtual services to charter school students in Georgia. This position is for the upcoming school year.
Teacher of the Visually Impaired Salary: $68-$70 per hour
Teacher of the Visually Impaired Hours: Part-Time (approximately 7 to 8 hours a month)
Teacher of the Visually Impaired Qualifications:
- School Certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired in Georgia
- Possession of (or willingness to obtain) up-to-date clearances
- Proof of individual professional liability insurance (or willingness to obtain)
Teacher of the Visually Impaired Responsibilities May Include:
- Evaluating and determining appropriate itinerant services based on student needs
- Providing ongoing support to teachers regarding the needs of the student
- Recommending and assisting with adaptations for classroom instruction
- Providing direct services with the use of the appropriate mode of communication
- Using assistive technology with student
