Job Description
As part of our mission to pave the way for children’s success worldwide, Therapy Source is seeking a Teacher of the Deaf and Hearing-Impaired to provide virtual services for charter school students in Georgia. This position is for the upcoming school year.
Teacher of the Hearing-Impaired Salary: $68-$70 per hour
Teacher of the Hearing-Impaired Hours: Part-Time (approximately 6 to 7 hours a month)
Teacher of the Hearing-Impaired Qualifications:
- Must have an active Georgia Teacher of the Deaf & Hard of Hearing certification
- Special Education Teacher must hold a “Special Education Deaf Education Endorsement”
- Possession of (or willingness to obtain) up-to-date clearances
- Proof of individual professional liability insurance (or willingness to obtain)
Teacher of the Hearing-Impaired Responsibilities May Include:
- Evaluating and determining appropriate itinerant services based on student needs
- Providing ongoing support to teachers regarding the needs of the D/HOH student
- Recommending and assisting with adaptations for classroom instruction
- Providing direct services with the use of the appropriate mode of communication
- Using assistive technology with student
