Teacher of the Deaf and Hearing Impaired - Full-Time - Leave Coverage
Job Description
As part of our mission to pave the way for children’s success worldwide, Therapy Source is seeking a full-time Teacher of the Deaf and Hearing-Impaired to provide in-person services for public school students. This position is for the upcoming school year.
Teacher of the Hearing-Impaired Salary: $50-$60 per hour
Teacher of the Hearing-Impaired Hours:
- Anticipated dates: 10/19/26-3/19/27
- Due to being maternity leave, there is possibility start date may be earlier than expected or end date be extended if needed but any changes will be notified
- Anticipated Hours: 8:00am-3:00pm (up to 32.5 hrs/wk: 6.5 hrs/day billable, 30 min break) flexible for 9:00-4:00 some days if needed
Teacher of the Hearing-Impaired Qualifications:
- School Certification as a Teacher of the Hearing Impaired in New Jersey
- Possession of (or willingness to obtain) up-to-date clearances
- Proof of individual professional liability insurance (or willingness to obtain)
Teacher of the Hearing-Impaired Responsibilities May Include:
- Evaluating and determining appropriate itinerant services based on student needs
- Providing ongoing support to teachers regarding the needs of the D/HOH student
- Recommending and assisting with adaptations for classroom instruction
- Providing direct services with the use of the appropriate mode of communication
- Using assistive technology with student
