Special Education Coordinator - Full-Time
Job Description
As part of our mission to pave the way for children's success worldwide, Therapy Source is seeking a full-time Special Education Coordinator to provide in-person services to charter school students. This position is for the upcoming school year.
Special Education Coordinator Salary: $60-$62 per hour
Special Education Coordinator Position Details:
- Full time (7:30am-4pm)
- Responsible for the SPED programs at all four campuses
- Working with the SPED teachers to make sure they stay in compliance with deadlines and paperwork/coach and support them across the campuses and provide service minutes as needed
- SPED coordination experience preferred
Special Education Coordinator Qualification(s):
- Licensure as a Special Education Teacher in the state of Ohio
- School Certification in the state of Ohio
- Possession of (or willingness to obtain) up-to-date clearances
- Proof of individual professional liability insurance (or willingness to obtain)
Special Education Coordinator Responsibilities May Include:
- Implementing specially designed instruction to drive student achievement
- Conducting progress monitoring data and adjusting instruction based on the data
- Establishing a positive, structured, achievement-focused classroom
- Providing support to students, parents, and general education staff and supporting student learning
- Mentoring and coaching students on self-regulation and organizational skills
- Developing effective IEPs that translate into measurable results for students
- Participating in multidisciplinary meetings
