Job Description
As part of our mission to pave the way for children's success worldwide, Therapy Source is seeking a part-time School Social Worker to provide virtual services for charter K-12 school students in New Mexico. This position is for the current school year.
School Social Worker Salary Range: $55-$57 per hour
School Social Worker Position Details:
- Part-Time
- Needed to work virtually at a school in Las Cruces for dropout recovery and for dropout recovery plus K-12 campus in Gallup
- Great for some looking for supplemental income and flexible hours
- Direct and indirect pay
School Social Worker Qualification(s):
- License in the state of New Mexico
- School Certification in the state of New Mexico
- Possession of (or willingness to obtain) up-to-date clearances
- Proof of individual professional liability insurance (or willingness to obtain)
School Social Worker Responsibilities May Include:
- Providing Behavioral Support Services
- Driving student achievement for students with disabilities
- Responding to progress monitoring results and student assessment data
- Providing support to students, parents, and general education staff and supporting student learning
- Mentoring and coaching students on self-regulation and organizational skills
- Developing effective IEPs that translate into measurable results for students
- Handling Medicare reimbursements
