As part of our mission to pave the way for children’s success worldwide, Therapy Source is currently seeking a full-time Instructional Aide to provide in-person services for charter elementary and middle school students as a teachers aide in support of the lead teacher. Substitute or school based experience required. This position is for the upcoming school year.

Instructional Aide Salary Range: $26-$33 per hour 

Instructional Aide Qualifications:

• License in the state of New Jersey
• School Certification in the state of New Jersey
• Possession of (or willingness to obtain) up-to-date clearances
• Proof of individual professional liability insurance (or willingness to obtain)

Instructional Aide Essential Attributes:

• Adapt classroom activities, assignments and/or materials under the direction of the teacher for the purpose of providing an opportunity for students with disabilities or special needs to participate in classroom activities.
• Implement academic instruction taught by a teacher for individuals or small groups for the purpose of meeting learning goals, as described by an IEP and/or district benchmarks.
• Implement behavioral plans designed by IEP team for students with behavior disorders or other special conditions; document progress.
• Participate, as appropriate, in communication between school and home per a student’s IEP.
• Confer with teachers on a regular basis for the purpose of assisting in evaluating the progress of students with disabilities or special needs and/or implementing IEP objectives.
• Assist other staff members as may be required for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities.
