Job Description
As part of our mission to pave the way for children’s success worldwide, Therapy Source is currently seeking a School Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW), or Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC) to provide in-person or virtual services for K-12 students in Fredericksburg, VA. This position is for the current school year, roughly 3.5 months long for a maternity leave coverage with the possibility of extension.
Social Worker or Counselor Position Details:
- 30-40 hours per week
- K-12 students (mostly grades 3rd-8th)
- Can work in-person or virtual
Social Worker or Counselor Qualifications:
- Licensure as a Social Worker or Psychologist in Virginia
- School Certification as a Social Worker, Psychologist or Counselor in Virginia
- Possession of (or willingness to obtain) up-to-date clearances
- Proof of individual professional liability insurance (or willingness to obtain)
Social Worker or Counselor Responsibilities May Include:
- Driving student achievement for students with disabilities
- Responding to progress monitoring results and student assessment data
- Providing support to students, parents, and general education staff and supporting student learning
- Mentoring and coaching students on self-regulation and organizational skills
- Developing effective IEPs that translate into measurable results for students
- Handling Medicare reimbursements
