We are currently seeking two full-time Special Education Teachers to provide invaluable in-person services in the vibrant Bucktown area of Chicago, Illinois. Position Details:

  • Position: Full-Time Special Education Teacher (Two Positions Available)
  • Term: Positions are available for the remainder of the current school year.

Compensation:

  • Salary Range: $47-$49 per hour

Qualifications: To excel in this role, you should meet the following qualifications:

  • State Licensure: Hold licensure as a Special Education Teacher in the state of Illinois.
  • School Certification: Possess School Certification in the state of Illinois.
  • Clearances: Have up-to-date clearances, or express a willingness to obtain them.
  • Insurance: Provide proof of individual professional liability insurance, or express a willingness to obtain it.

Responsibilities: As a Special Education Teacher with Therapy Source, your pivotal role may include:

  1. Customized Instruction: Implementing specially designed instruction that caters to the unique needs of each student, driving their achievement and success.

  2. Data-Driven Approach: Conducting progress monitoring data and adjusting instruction based on data analysis, ensuring continuous improvement.

  3. Positive Learning Environment: Creating a positive, structured, and achievement-focused classroom where every student can thrive.

  4. Support and Collaboration: Providing support to students, parents, and general education staff while actively contributing to students' learning and development.

  5. Mentoring and Coaching: Mentoring and coaching students on self-regulation and organizational skills, helping them become more confident learners.

  6. IEP Development: Collaborating to develop effective Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) that translate into measurable and meaningful results for students.

  7. Multidisciplinary Engagement: Participating in multidisciplinary meetings to ensure comprehensive support for students.
