Occupational Therapist - Full-Time or Part-Time

As part of our mission to pave the way for children’s success worldwide, Therapy Source is seeking a full-time or part-time Occupational Therapist to provide in-person services in Life Skills and ASL classrooms for elementary through high school aged students with Autism and severe disabilities.  This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of students with special needs. Although some students may exhibit challenging behaviors, there will always have dedicated aides present, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.  The caseload includes approximately 15 students, with a significant number of service hours to be attended to. Some students are non-verbal and use an ACC device to communicate. This position is for the remainder of the current school year.

Salary Range: $60 per hour

Hours Needed: Full-time (40 hours per week) or Part-Time (approx. 20 hours per week.) 

Qualifications:

• Licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Maryland 
• Possession of (or willingness to obtain) up-to-date clearances
• Proof of individual professional liability insurance (or willingness to obtain)

 Responsibilities:

• Provide occupational therapy services to students with Autism and severe disabilities.

• Help to conduct 150-250 compensatory time (make-up) sessions.

• Collaborate with dedicated aides assigned to each student.

• Work with non-verbal students who use ACC devices for communication.

• Address self-injurious aggressive behaviors.

• Serve students ranging from Elementary to High School level.
